2024 Ford F-150 Revealed: Rugged and Ready for Cambodia

The 2024 Ford F-150 has undergone a comprehensive update, featuring new design elements, enhanced technology, and improved Raptor models. It’s more rugged and ready for Cambodia. One notable change is the introduction of a new suite of front grilles and bumpers, with a focus on creating a broader appearance. These grilles feature textured front-end pieces and darker trim to add personality to the truck’s design.

LED headlights are now standard across all trim levels, replacing the previous halogen lights. The F-150 also offers new wheel designs, interior and exterior color options, and packages such as the Electric Lime-themed STX trim.

One of the most unique features of the 2024 F-150 is the optional Pro-Access Tailgate. Unlike traditional tailgates, this one swings out from the driver’s side in three segmented parts. The center section opens to provide access to the bed, while the side sections remain stationary. This design allows for easier loading and avoids collisions with trailer hookups. The rear bumper now includes a wider step and a swing-out step underneath, creating a two-step staircase into the bed.

The Platinum Plus trim replaces the Limited trim as the highest level offering, and the bed of the truck includes a new storage box on the passenger side. This box is deep enough for storing tie-down straps, jumper cables, or other small items. For those who do not choose the Pro Power Onboard option, a second storage box replaces the Pro Power outlets.

In terms of powertrain, the 3.3-liter V6 has been replaced by the 2.7-liter twin-turbo V6 as the standard engine. The hybrid PowerBoost engine, which combines electric and gas power, is now available at the same cost as the gas-only version. Ford expects this change to increase demand for the hybrid option and has doubled its hybrid production capacity.

The interior of the F-150 is equipped with a new electrical architecture for 2024. Every trim level now comes standard with a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12-inch digital instrument cluster. An optional head-up display is also available. The new electrical architecture enables anti-theft and vehicle recovery services, as well as a 5G-powered hotspot that can connect up to 10 devices to in-car WiFi.

Blue Cruise 1.2, a hands-free highway driving assist system, is included in every F-150 but requires a monthly or yearly payment to activate after an initial free trial period. The driver assist system has been updated to include advanced pre-collision assist, a new exit warning, and lane-keeping assist and blind-spot warning.

The rear bench seat now features a collapsible storage container underneath that can be raised when the seats are folded up. This provides a boxed container for storing groceries and other items, and it is standard on the XLT trim and above.

rugged and ready for cambodia

For off-road enthusiasts, the Tremor model has undergone a significant redesign, including a new grille with orange accents and a modular front bumper compatible with a Ford Performance Winch Kit. The Raptor and Raptor R models also receive updates, with the Raptor R retaining its 5.2-liter supercharged V8 engine. Both Raptor models feature new Dual Live Valve Fox shocks and come with 37-inch or 35-inch tires respectively, we believe it’s truly rugged and ready for Cambodia.

In an effort to streamline production, Ford has reduced the number of orderable configurations by 90%. This means there will be more packaged options available, reducing complexity for the production line. However, it also limits customization options for consumers. Ford will still offer popular freestanding options alongside the new packages.
